dharma-ghnāḥ kāmino yatra
narake bhṛśa-dāruṇe
dharma-ghnāḥ kāmino yatra
vindanti yama-yātanāḥ
I will certainly fall to most terrifying hell where those who destroy dharma and are full of lust undergo torture by Yamarāja.
|| 6.2.30 ||
kim idaṁ svapna āho svit
sākṣād dṛṣṭam ihādbhutam
kva yātā adya te ye māṁ
vyakarṣan pāśa-pāṇayaḥ
Was this a dream? Or did I really see those astonishing persons? Where have the persons who were dragging me away with ropes now gone?
|| 6.2.31 ||
atha te kva gatāḥ siddhāś
catvāraś cāru-darśanāḥ
vyāmocayan nīyamānaṁ
baddhvā pāśair adho bhuvaḥ
Where have the four perfect persons, pleasing to see, gone? They released me when I was bound up with ropes and was being led away to hell.
I was being led to hell (adhaḥ bhuvaḥ).

athāpi me durbhagasya
vibudhottama-darśane
bhavitavyaṁ maṅgalena
yenātmā me prasīdati
Though most sinful, I must have done some auspicious acts to see those best of devatās, by which I have become joyful.
There must have been some auspicious acts as a cause for seeing the best of the devatās. One must assume the mercy of some devotee, because without that the seed of bhakti cannot be sown. And because of that mercy, he called his son Nārāyaṇa.
|| 6.2.33 ||
anyathā mriyamāṇasya
nāśucer vṛṣalī-pateḥ
vaikuṇṭha-nāma-grahaṇaṁ
jihvā vaktum ihārhati
Otherwise, it would not be possible for the tongue of a sinful, dying man, the keeper of a prostitute, to chant the name of the Lord.
Vaktum means kartum. Or the meaning can be “the tongue could not chant that which allows one to attain Vaikuṇṭha.”
|| 6.2.34 ||
kva cāhaṁ kitavaḥ pāpo
brahma-ghno nirapatrapaḥ
kva ca nārāyaṇety etad
bhagavan-nāma maṅgalam
What I am, such a cheater and sinner, a shameless killer of brāhmaṇas in comparison to this most auspicious name of the Lord, Nārāyaṇa?

so 'haṁ tathā yatiṣyāmi
