- anyasyām api jāyāyāṁ trayaḥ putrā āsann uttamas tāmaso raivata iti manvantarādhipatayaḥ.

- sā sūtvātha sutān navānuvatsaraṁ gṛha evāpahāya pūrvacittir bhūya evājaṁ devam upatasthe.

- nābhir apatya-kāmo 'prajayā merudevyā bhagavantaṁ yajña-puruṣam avahitātmāyajata.
- athānayāpi na bhavata ijyayoru-bhāra-bharayā samucitam artham ihopalabhāmahe.
- We see that you do not have any use for our elaborate worship.

- tata āgnīdhrīye 'ṁśa-kalayāvatariṣyāmy ātma-tulyam anupalabhamānaḥ.

- nāyaṁ deho deha-bhājāṁ nṛloke
- mahat-sevāṁ dvāram āhur vimuktes
- janeṣu dehambhara-vārtikeṣu
- parābhavas tāvad abodha-jāto
- yadā na paśyaty ayathā guṇehāṁ
- yadā mano-hṛdaya-granthir asya
- adhyātma-yogena vivikta-sevayā
- putrāṁś ca śiṣyāṁś ca nṛpo gurur vā
- avidyāyām antare vartamānam
- idaṁ śarīraṁ mama durvibhāvyaṁ
- bhūteṣu vīrudbhya uduttamā ye
- paśyāmi viprāḥ kim ataḥ paraṁ tu
- sarvāṇi mad-dhiṣṇyatayā bhavadbhiś
- tasya ha yaḥ purīṣa-surabhi-saugandhya-vāyus taṁ deśaṁ daśa-yojanaṁ samantāt surabhiṁ cakāra.
- The wind, fragrant from the smell of his stool, made the place fragrant for ten yojanas around.
- satyam uktaṁ kintv iha vā eke na manaso 'ddhā viśrambham anavasthānasya śaṭha-kirāta iva saṅgacchante.
- na kuryāt karhicit sakhyaṁ
O most worshipable Lord! That you, best giver of benedictions, appeared as the object of our vision in the King’s sacrifice was our benediction.
“In any case, ask for a benediction!” Most worshipable Lord! You have become the object of vision for your devotees when you appeared in the sacrifice performed by the King. That itself is the greatest benediction.

asaṅga-niśita-jñānānala-vidhūtāśeṣa-malānāṁ bhavat-svabhāvānām ātmārāmāṇāṁ munīnām anavarata-pariguṇita-guṇa-gaṇa parama-maṅgalāyana-guṇa-gaṇa-kathano 'si.
O Lord whose qualities are recited repeatedly by the sages! Your qualities which bring about the highest bliss are the subject of discussion for sages who have burned by all contamination by the fire of knowledge and detachment, and who find enjoyment in you through their individual moods of love directed to you.
Foolish persons think that they should pray for things other than seeing you, though seeing you is very rare. But the wise do not think like this. Though you do not show yourself, you are the subject of talks concerning your qualities which bring about the highest auspiciousness for the sages who have burned up unlimited contamination of material desires by the fire of knowledge sharpened by detachment, who completely enjoy (ārāmānām) you with moods such as dāsya directed towards you. O Lord whose qualities are recited repeatedly by the sages!
|| 5.3.12 ||
atha kathañcit skhalana-kṣut-patana-jṛmbhaṇa-duravasthānādiṣu vivaśānāṁ naḥ smaraṇāya jvara-maraṇa-daśāyām api sakala-kaśmala-nirasanāni tava guṇa-kṛta-nāmadheyāni vacana-gocarāṇi bhavantu.
May we chant your names describing your qualities, which destroy all sins at the time of death, in order to help us remember you, who are unable to remember you while stumbling, suffering hunger, falling down, yawning, or suffering calamity!
Even if we have unsteady, dull minds, let us think of you. So that persons like us who cannot remember you may remember you, may your names be available to us.
|| 5.3.13 ||
kiñcāyaṁ rājarṣir apatya-kāmaḥ prajāṁ bhavādṛśīm āśāsāna īśvaram āśiṣāṁ svargāpavargayor api bhavantam upadhāvati prajāyām artha-pratyayo dhanadam ivādhanaḥ phalīkaraṇam.
