- sunītiṁ jananīṁ dhruvaḥ
- sarva-bhūtānurañjanāḥ
- bhinnena yāto hṛdayena dūyatā
- mahattvam icchatāṁ tīrthaṁ
- idaṁ mayā te 'bhihitaṁ kurūdvaha
- bhagavān yajña-pūruṣaḥ
- He appeared on the road to unintelligent people to be retarded, blind, deaf, mad, and dumb though he was not. He was like a fire with extinguished flames.
- aṅgaṁ sumanasaṁ khyātiṁ
- prajābhir aghavān api
- na gṛhṇanti grahān iha
- tasmāt puruṣa uttasthau
- sanair vividhair nṛpaḥ
- evaṁ sa nirviṇṇa-manā nṛpo gṛhān
- bhṛgv-ādayas te munayo
- paryaṭan ratham āsthāya
- sa jighāṁsati vai prajāḥ
- aiśvaryād avarohati. O hero! Do not destroy dharma, which brings benefit to the citizens. If dharma is destroyed, the King will fall from his position.. rājann asādhv-amātyebhyaś. corādibhyaḥ prajā nṛpa&
- vitāyamānena surāḥ kalā hareḥ
- itthaṁ viparyaya-matiḥ
- When the sages returned to their homes, lamenting Sunīthā preserved the body of her son by use of mantras.
- bhinna-bhāṇḍāt payo yathā
- vena-kalmaṣam ulbaṇam
- bhaviṣyati pṛthu-śravāḥ
- tasyābhiṣeka ārabdho
uttamaśloka-maulinā
upasthāpitam āyuṣmann
adhiroḍhuṁ tvam arhasi
O immortal! You are qualified to board this excellent plane sent by the best of famous persons.
Āyuṣman (long-lived) indicates that he will go in the same body.

maitreya uvāca
niśamya vaikuṇṭha-niyojya-mukhyayor
madhu-cyutaṁ vācam urukrama-priyaḥ
kṛtābhiṣekaḥ kṛta-nitya-maṅgalo
munīn praṇamyāśiṣam abhyavādayat
Miatreya said: On hearing the honey words of the two associates from Vaikuṇṭha, Dhruva, dear to the Lord, took his bath, performed his daily rituals, offered respects to the sages and had them bless him.
Niyojya means servants. Madhucyutam means “flowing with honey.” Another version has madhucyutām, which means words having drops of honey.” Abhyavādayatmeans “he made them give him blessings.”

parītyābhyarcya dhiṣṇyāgryaṁ
pārṣadāv abhivandya ca
iyeṣa tad adhiṣṭhātuṁ
bibhrad rūpaṁ hiraṇmayam
Circumambulating and worshipping the plane, offering respects to the two associates, assuming a golden form, he desired to board the plane.
He circled the plane and then worshipped it by offering sandalwood and flowers saying “Bhagavad-vimānāya namaḥ.” Assuming a golden form, he desired to board the plane.

tadottānapadaḥ putro
dadarśāntakam āgatam
mṛtyor mūrdhni padaṁ dattvā
ārurohādbhutaṁ gṛham
At that time Dhruva saw death approaching him. Placing his foot on the head of death, he boarded that astounding abode.

tadā dundubhayo nedur
mṛdaṅga-paṇavādayaḥ
gandharva-mukhyāḥ prajaguḥ
petuḥ kusuma-vṛṣṭayaḥ
Drums sounded, the best of Gandharvas sang, and showers of flowers fell.

sa ca svarlokam ārokṣyan
