“Above standard” sanitizing methods

EXCEL FISH

At Excel Fish Processing, cleanliness is of extreme importance. Follow these guidelines to ensure the facility is clean and sanitized at all times

Most processing units require only CIP cleaning. Ask your supervisor if you are unsure whether a unit requires CIP or COP

There may be soil in the water at our fishing locations. Always check for iron levels in the water systems. The hardness of the water may also damage our units. Finally, be sure to measure the pH balance of the water.

Due to salt and complex soils, machinery in the processing plant requires high pressure cleaning. Some machines require foam sanitizers. This will preserve the machinery.

There are specific sanitizers for specific machines in the plant. These will eliminate all microorganisms. Be sure to use only the appropriate sanitizer at all times. If you are unsure of which sanitizer to use, contact your supervisor.
