Once there was a talk between the parts of the Human Body.

- We, - said the Eyes are the main organs. With us man can see.

- Nothing of the kind! We are more important! – cried out the Ears. With us man can listen to music, he can hear speech.

- How can you think so! – exclaimed the Hands.- What can he do without us? We hold different things, we carry his bag. Man can do everything with us.

- You are all wrong – said the Legs. – We are the main organ. We walk and dance, we run and jump. Can you all do that?

There was a silence after which the Heart said:

- There are blind (слепой) men who can’t see; there are deaf (глухой) men who can’t hear and even men who have no hands to hold things with.

But there is no man without Heart.

Your fingernails grow about 0, 00338 inches longer a day and your hair 0, 01714 inches. A dark-haired person has on his head about 120 000 hairs, a blond about 150 000 hairs and a red haired person only about 90 000. It is frowning that requires much more muscles than smiling. Frowning requires the use of muscles of the forehead and scalp. Smiling requires the use of the smaller number of muscles of the mouth, nose and eyes. During normal activity a man moves 750 major muscles. A man weighing 140 pounds contain enough fat for 7 pieces of soap, enough carbon for 9 000 pencils, phosphorous for 2200 match heads, enough iron for a medium – sized nail and water for 10-gallon barrel.
