7.6r cohesion is constructed by the grl st each component connection's between each other. Gr coh divided into 4classes: Substitution, Ellipsis, Conjunction, Reference.. Substitution can be: nominal, verbal, clausal. Nominal subs is a process of replacement of Nouns with 'one', 'ones' or 'same. Verbal subs is a replacement process of Verbs with 'do', 'did' or other auxiliary verbs. Clausal subs is replacement process of clause, by 'so' or 'not'.). Ellipsis is the process in which one item within a text or discourse is omitted or replaced by nothing, l.nominal 2.verbal 3.clausal. The 3rd type of Gr. Coh. is conjunction There are 4 categories of relations conj.: additive, adversative, causal, temporal. Reference occurs when one item in text points to another element for its interpretation

8.Lexical cohesion(Reiteration, collocation)

is the fifth and last type of the cohesive relations in English. It is generally understood as "the cohesive effect (that is] achieved by the selection of vocabulary.). This type of cohesion can be subdivided into the categories reiteration and collocation. Reiteration has to do with the use of general nouns to create a cohesive effect by replacing one element by another in the ongoing text/discourse. Asecond subcategory of lexical coh is collocation. Collocations are lexical "items that regularly co-occur and by doing so create coh within a given text/discourse. There are two main types of coh: gr coh, which is based on structural content—and lexical coh which is based on lexical content and background knowledge
