Text 1.1

1) A corporation is called transnational if it has plants or businesses in more than two countries.

2) The names of transnational corporations, which I see most often, are brands of foreign cars. For example, these are Ford, BMW, Toyota, Renault. This is due to the fact that all these companies have their plants in Russia. In addition, I often see the names of transnational corporations that produce food or household appliances. These are McDonald's, KFC, Unilever, Apple, Samsung and others.

3) The list of my things that were produced in other countries is not very long. First of all, this is electronic equipment: HP laptop, Xiaomi phone, my computer. Almost all of my office supplies (канцтовары) are made in China. Some of my clothes are made in Turkey. Besides, almost all fruits which I buy are grown in other countries.

4) All transnational corporations have “offshore offices” in other countries. Workers of these offices send all information via computers to the engraving office.

Text 1.2

1) General rules for the use of the high seas and airspace allow countries to freely trade with each other, and people - to freely move between countries. General rules for the use of outer space will allow humanity to quickly domesticate it, as well as prevent space wars.

2) Some of these rules:

- The high seas belong to no country. All ships are free to sail the high seas;

- Each country is responsible for keeping law and order on ships flying its flag;

- All ships follow certain common safety rules in order to avoid accidents at sea;

- Airplanes from one country must have permission to fly into another country’s airspace;

- Airplanes from all countries may fly over the oceans because no country can claim the high seas;

- No nation could claim outer space. Any nation could send satellites into space for exploration or other peaceful purposes;

- Nations could explode a nuclear device in space or use space for other military purposes.

3) The world has not yet worked out an exact definition of outer space, so it is not clear where a country's airspace ends and outer space begins. In addition, it has proved difficult to distinguish between peaceful and military uses of space.

4) In 1963 it was agreed that any nation could send satellites into space for exploration or other peaceful purposes. Therefore the answer is YES.
