I agree that there is such a problem as a generation gap. It happens because of misunderstanding between parents and their children. They have different living values and they see our world in a different way. They have different interests and hobbies. But, frankly speaking, if you love your parents and children you can find the possibility to avoid this problem. Any problem can be discussed. It’s much easier to find the way out together.

Variant 1

I am very happy to be on good terms with my parents, because they are my best friends and always ready to listen to me and give advice. In my turn I am ready to compromise and meet my parents halfway, render any possible help to them.

You know, my parents and I are usually very busy during the weekdays and we seldom have a chance to spend time together. Sunday is the day when we can sit at a table and talk over everything that has happened during the week. Eating together makes us feel close and we often have our most useful conversations at these times. Almost every weekend we visit our grandparents.

So I am on good terms with both my parents and grandparents. We celebrate some holidays such as New Year, Christmas, Easter and our Birthdays together. We organize parties, have dinners together. We also have a lot of things to do together: fishing, watching TV, working in our kitchen or garden, etc. I respect my grandparents because their living experience is enormous and they give me some good advice in different situations.
