ПРИМЕР

Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project «Weekends in the summertime». You have found some illustrations and want to share the news. Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

· explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;

· mention the advantages (1–2) of the two ways of spending a weekend in summer;

· mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two ways of spending a weekend in summer;

· express your opinion on the subject of the project – which way of spending a summer weekend you would prefer and why.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Starting the voice message

Hey there, Alex. How are things going? You know, I've managed to find two pictures that we might be able to use for our project, «Weekends in the summertime»,and I'd like to talk to you about them.

Explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences.

ОПИСЫВАЕМ

Well, to start with, I'd say the first photo is relevant to our project due to the fact that it depicts people, who might be a family, lying on the beach near the sea. They are looking at the camera and smiling. They are in a perfect mood and are obviously happy.

The second photo is quite suitable for our project as well because it shows two people, standing on the top of the mountain, looking somewhere ahead of them. In the photo people are standing with their backs, so it is impossible to see their faces, but I can suppose that they are admiring the landscape.
