a.The worker is holding a basket of fruit – not sure if they are plums or tomatoes. There are some apples. She is young. She is wearing t-shirt and jeans. Maybe she is employed on a fruit farm or maybe she is picking them for herself. The weather looks nice, it’s definitely not raining. The fruit basket is the centre piece of the photo and it looks delicious.

b.This is a beautiful sunset scene. The sun is setting and is beautifully reflected on the lake (or river). In the foreground, there are two benches facing out onto the water. They are empty, no-one is there. They look very inviting! It would be nice to sit there and contemplate the scene – the buildings and the trees in the distance. It is a very calm, peaceful atmosphere. The night is drawing in, it’s getting a bit colder.

c. In the foreground, there is a young woman. She is standing in front of rows of vegetables. She is a farm worker. She is holding a basket full of vegetables: cabbages and broccoli, I think. It’s quite a cool, misty autumn day. The earthy smell of the soil fills the air. The girl is wearing a checked shirt. She is smiling into the camera. Another worker is standing behind her, in the near distance. There are trees on the horizon.

d.This is a Halloween image! The castle is in the background, an ominous silhouette against a darkening sky. Bats are flying over the castle; they are approaching! Look out! They may be about to turn into vampires! There is an owl in the tree on the right of the picture. You can hear hoots and shrieks and is that wailing  in the distance? The atmosphere is scary, but actually, the owl looks quite cute.This image would be suitable as a Halloween card.

f.This is a lovely autumn scene in the countryside. There is a calm stream in the foreground, reflecting the autumn colours. The leaves are changing colour – the colours are beautiful: red, gold, orange, yellow - and they are falling to the ground. These beautiful russet colours typify autumn. The world is getting ready for the winter and the big freeze.
