Who is this Ohm?

Georg Ohm (1787-1854) - German physicist-experimenter. He was born March 16, 1787 in the family locksmith. Father attached great importance to the education of children. Although the family are constantly needed, George he studied first at the gymnasium, and then at University. First, he taught mathematics at a private school in Switzerland. Physics Georg Ohm became interested in later. His scientific work began with the repair of the equipment and scholarly literature. The creation of the first electrochemical cell before physicists discovered a new area of research, and Ohm made the most important step towards the creation of the theory of electrical circuits. In 1825 he presented to the scientific world the fruits of their labor in the form of an article, which is titled “Preliminary report on the law according to which metals conduct electricity”. Now this message we call the law of his name. In honour of this scientist, also called unit of resistance.

Ohm’s Law

R = V/I resistance equals voltage over current I = V/R current equals voltage over resistance V = IR voltage equals current times resistance

I=Ɛ/R+r current equals epsilon over big resistance multiplied small resistance

Task: Resistance equals 80 ohm, voltage equals 160 volt. How much is the current in the circuit?

Task: Resistance equals 10.5 ohm, current equals 35 ampere. How much is the voltage in the circuit?

Task: Voltage equals 120 volt, current equals 80 ampere. How much is the resistance in the circuit?

Task: Big resistance equals 80 ohm, small resistance equals 20 ohm epsilon equals 220 volt. How much is the current in the circuit?
