Поиск на нашем сайте В косвенных указаниях, просьбах, предложениях мы исользуем определенные глаголы, после которых следует инфинитив – утвердительная форма (infinitive) - to play, отрицательная форма (not + infinitive) – not to play или герундий (Ving) - playing.
Direct Question He said to me, “ Come with me.” Reported Question He told me to go with him.
Direct Question She said to her, “ Don’t lie to me.” Reported Question She told her not to lie to her. Direct Question He said, “ Let’s go out.” Reported Question He suggested going out.
Употребление инфинитива или герундия зависит от того, каким глаголом выражено сказуемое. Вот список некоторых глаголов, которые также могут быть использованы при переводе диалога в косвенную речь.

REPORTING A DIALOGUE OR CONVERSATION
Direct Speech “Oh, this is a very nice dress,” she said. “How much does it cost?”
“I can’t buy it,” she said. “I can’t afford it.”
Reported Speech She remarked/exclaimed that that was a very nice dress and she asked how much it cost. She said she could’t buy it, explaining that she couldn’t afford it.
Direct Speech “Shall I help you?” he asked. “We can work on it together.”
Reported Speech He offered to help me, suggesting that we could work on it together.
